I’m not going to try and put down the Android platform, since I haven’t played with it, and, at least on paper, it actually looks like quite a compelling software platform.

I get that there’s no desktop sync, it’s all linked to your google account and all happens in that ill-defined “cloud.” I’m not sold, but I get it.
As for the hardware… only 1GB of memory, but upgradeable with an SD card slot, so whatever – I’m not going to argue.
However…
All I want to ask about the new G1 Phone is: How do you make an all-in-one communication/media device that doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack? Why the need to purchase an extra adapter for what’s supposed to be an all-in-one device? Read More
