xkcd.com raises an interesting point over on his ahem “blag” (which I might add, has a “blog archive” – but never you mind that).
What did they say about the initial iPod release 5 years ago? According to this thread over at MacRumors, pretty much the same thing that they’re saying now about the iPhone.
The point? Hold your judgement on the iPhone (impossible on the internet, I know). Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, some phones have more features. No, I won’t be getting one right away. But I love my nano, and it makes the first generation iPod look like an expensive brick in comparison.
Oh, and if you really didn’t want one, you wouldn’t be talking about it.
